Natural Refuges

Description:

These area need special actions to be manage, because of its geographic conditions, its special ecosystem, its variaty and exclusive biodiversity. In Costa Rica there are three tipes of refuges:

  • National Refuge: The ones that belongs totally to the country
  • Mixt Refuge: The ones that belongs to the country parcially and also is a private property, in proportion not always the same percentage.
  • Private Refuge: Those in which, the areas belongs completely to a person who its compromise to preserve the land in natura interest.
